Interreg BY-AUT: BioH2Region

Kompetenzregion für erneuerbaren Wasserstoff und Grüne Gase

The Interreg Bavaria-Austria project BioH2Region supports small and medium-sized enterprises in the Bavaria-Austria region by providing information on the use of biogenic hydrogen and other green gases, helping them to develop innovative energy solutions. The goal is to create synergies between the regions, support companies in adopting green technologies, and strengthen the regional economy sustainably.

In Bavaria and Austria, small and medium-sized enterprises are increasingly facing the challenges of the energy transition. Despite growing interest in green technologies, many companies lack specific know-how and information about innovative concepts such as the use of biogenic hydrogen and other green gases.

Projektinhalt:

The project provides small and medium-sized enterprises in Bavaria and Austria with comprehensive information on the opportunities and challenges of using hydrogen and green gases, as well as the energy transition in general. The primary focus is on utilizing biogenic waste materials to produce biogenic hydrogen and other green gases.

The BioH2Region project will develop a knowledge platform to help companies actively participate in the transformation of the energy sector by using biogenic hydrogen. This platform will support businesses in creating innovative solutions for their processes and adapting to sustainable energy technologies.

The goal is to facilitate companies' entry into this forward-looking technology and help them develop innovative solutions for their energy supply. Close collaboration between the two regions will maximize synergy effects, strengthening the regional economy sustainably while contributing to the energy transition.
